Application
Surfaces
Non-absorbent surfaces such as smooth dense concrete, ceramic tiles, natural stone, and terrazzo.
Metal and surface treated wooden subfloors
Epoxy and paint
Vinyl and linoleum
Underfloor heating should be switched off during priming: Deactivate the installation 72 hours prior to
application and reactivate 7 days after completion of work at the earliest.
Surface preparation
The surface should be dimensionally stable, dry and free from dust, grease, laitance and cracks.
Residues from grease, wax and soap can be removed using Alfix Deep Cleaner.
Ensure that paint is sufficiently adhering and non-flaking.
Traces from vinyl, linoleum, wooden substrates should be removed by grinding prior to priming.
Matt or sand existing dense substrates, such as vinyl, linoleum, epoxy, and paint

How to use
Alfix Universal Primer is ready for use when thoroughly stirred.
Apply unto substrate by short-haired paint roller to obtain an even and thin coat leaving no visible puddles.
Leave to dry before further treatment is commenced.
Observe that room temperature, temperature at floor as well as product temperature should uphold min.
+10°C.
Levelling should be made within 72 hours upon priming.
If exceeding 72 hours, re-priming is required before levelling!

NB!
If there is any doubt as to suitability, it is recommendable to test whether Alfix UniversalPrimer adheres
sufficiently to the substrate on a less visible area before priming the entire area.
Adhesion strength should be min. 1 N/mm²
Cleaning
Clean residues from tools with water before the dispersion sets. Once dried, Alfix UniversalPrimer can be
removed mechanically.
Disposal of product residues, cleaning water and containers should be done in accordance with the local
rules in force.
