Surface preparation

Substrates/adhesion surfaces must be completely clean, dry and free from loose particles, grease and oils,
dirt, etc.
Depending on the substrate, clean off any grease, oil and soap residue with Alfix Deep Cleaner, methylated
spirits, acetone or another suitable solvent.
Check that any paint is sufficiently adhering and non-flaking.
As there may, in practice, be variations in the substrates in question, always perform a test installation before starting the main task.

How to use

Apply lines of Alfix Montagelim (Mounting Adhesive) to the substrate or to the material that is to be mounted.
The distance between the lines of adhesive should be 50–200 mm depending on the strength required.
Always comply with the supplier’s instructions regarding the mounting of the material.

Press the material firmly and carefully onto the adhesive and the substrate.
When mounting heavy items, or when performing special mounting tasks, it may be necessary to support the
material to prevent vertical displacement, and to apply extra securing measures to prevent the heavy item
falling off the wall, for example, until Alfix Montagelim 330 has had time to harden.
Mounting mirrors: apply the adhesive in vertical lines approx. 100 mm apart. Make sure to support mirrors for
at least 2 days – including support to prevent them falling off the wall.

Cleaning

Unhardened adhesive residue: remove with a rag dipped in turpentine. Hardened adhesive can only be
removed by scraping.
Wash hands and skin thoroughly with soap and water.
